As I finished this drawing I wondered about the mounting spring and whether it is needed in the drawings. All of my subjects are from parks, and they are all mounted the same way. I guess only time will tell whether I leave it in the future drawings.

I finished a drawing in the new series and decided to do another treetop drawing on plywood. This one uses a dark brown in lieu of black mostly. "Harshly Lit Tree", Charcoal and Pastel on Plywood, 15"TWx20"W, 2008/06/22 John Terwilliger
I have started getting a jump on "The Day of the Dead" artwork with some new ACEO (art cards, editions, originals) ATC (art trading cards) sized relief prints as the one print I have is sold out. My concept on this series is each print has a black and white version with and edition size of 20 and a multi-color version with an edition size of ~10. So here is the first Black and White print, more to follow. - John Terwilliger

I am embarking on a new series of drawings of Hobby Horses as found in city parks. So far I have found that it seems all the parks have different themes of Hobby Horse from horses to airplanes to dinosaurs. This should prove to be a light and fun series. I will, of course, continue to draw treetops (ten on view June-July 2008 in Rochester) shadows and all manner of other subjects. Enjoy.

I paint, I stare into space, I blather about ART. Ranting and Raving is now a spectator sport. Aesthetics is the philosphy of beauty. Braindead is the lack of all higher brain functions. If I see it, and I write on it, did I exhibit higher brain function?
