On this drawing I added the radiation warning symbol after I drew the tree. I was not really happy with the result but after I toned it down some I decided it would be OK.

This is the tird in a series of drawings using playground hobby horses as subject matter. In this drawing I used oil pastel for the first time in over 15 years. I an not sure I like it on plywood but who can tell.

While not partisan these are political in a sense. The idea is all voters should be informed on the candidates and issues.
Again theme and variation is the rule and all were run in small editions. The yellow in #3 is brighter because I force dried the other editions in the oven at 195 degree. Speedball ink in the reds and yellows color shifts/darkens when heat is applied.

"Vote Know #2", 2.5"Tx3.5"W Linoleum Cut Print, two color, 2008 Edition of 3
"Vote Know #3", 2.5"Tx3.5"W Relief Print, two color, 2008 Edition of 5
This little print was fun to make. First I carved the mirror image formula and the radiation warning symbol. Then I print the formula in black and forced dryed it with my heat gun. Then I printed the red radiation symbol and also force dryed that. Then final step was to over print in green with the formula block but apply no pressure so the inking was very uneven.

Here is and addition of color to the original black and white print. I added a red background and a light grey pink foreground, which didn't scan well.

I paint, I stare into space, I blather about ART. Ranting and Raving is now a spectator sport. Aesthetics is the philosphy of beauty. Braindead is the lack of all higher brain functions. If I see it, and I write on it, did I exhibit higher brain function?
